Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

Senior Learning Mentor (6th form)

36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

Pay point 26-29   actual starting salary £22,103pa

 

Required  as soon as possible, a Senior Learning Mentor to work with senior staff providing pastoral support for pupils in a key stage (initially in our 6th form but this could change from year to year) and/or in our Individual Learning Room.  Work will include working with pupils who may have behavioural difficulties, helping to improve attendance, close liaison with parents/carers and general help to raise pupil motivation and success at school.  The post will include cover supervision as well as some general clerical and administrative tasks.

Key Stage Co-ordinator

36 hours, 40 working weeks

Pay point 26-29 actual starting salary £22,431pa

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced co-ordinator to provide effective secretarial and administrative support to the pastoral team to ensure the smooth running of a key stage.  The post includes; being the first point of contact for telephone calls and correspondence from parents, handling telephone calls and follow up to ensure enquiries are dealt with effectively.  Produce high quality documents, record behaviour, and achievement data, mentoring data and extra-curricular activities in SIMS.  Attend meetings and take minutes as required, produce duty rotas for staff and co-ordinate parents’ evenings for a key stage to ensure its smooth running. The successful candidate will be proactive, flexible with excellent customer service along with outstanding secretarial skills and a focus on attention to detail.

Temporary Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)

Temporary post to 31st August 2020   

Pay Point 21 – 24   - Actual Salary - £19,252 - £20,844 per annum

36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

 

Teaching Assistant required to join our professional and dedicated Curriculum Support team. You must be caring, calm and positive with a commitment to inclusion. Duties will include delivering intervention programmes, supporting SEN students in class and at other times. In addition, there will be a need to contribute to termly reviews and contribute to planning meetings within the department.  In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will have a qualification or interest in the area of Special Educational Needs.
