Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1700 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 420.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.


 

Higher Level Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor

English

36 hours per week, term time, pay point 26-29 – actual salary 22,103 - £24,343pa

 

Required as soon as possible a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for the English department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.  Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis.

The successful candidate will have an English degree, will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role.   This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching.

 Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)   

Pay Point 21 – 24   - Actual Salary - £19,252- £20,844 per annum

36 hours per week, term time

Required from as soon as possible a Teaching Assistant required to join our professional and dedicated Curriculum Support team. You must be caring, calm and positive with a commitment to inclusion. Duties will include delivering intervention programmes, supporting SEN students in class and at other times. Also, there will be a need to contribute to termly reviews and contribute to planning meetings within the department.  In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will have a qualification or interest in the area of Special Educational Needs.
