HR Advisor

Ashmole Trust is looking to appoint a HR Advisor to support the HR Director ensuring an effective and comprehensive HR function. The successful candidate will provide HR support to Ashmole Academy predominantly and some support for other schools within the trust. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing trust.
The overall responsibility will be acting as first point of contact for HR advice and queries from staff and leadership, ensuring an effective and comprehensive HR function, promoting best practice and ensuring the trust is compliant with employment legislation.
Duties will include; Managing the recruitment process ensuring vacancies are filled efficiently and timely, Safer recruitment vetting including processing DBS and recruitment checks. Assisting the HR Director managing employee relations including performance issues, disciplinary and grievances. Processing all contracts, salary assessment letters and preparing salary recommendations annually. Responsibility for the single central register for all schools within the trust. Produce HR data and reports as requested and co-ordinating the absence management process within the school.
The successful candidate will be a proven HR generalist professional, preferably CIPD qualified. The successful candidate must be flexible, calm and have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to deal with multiple priorities and a very busy HR function.

Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our English department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff. Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis.
The successful candidate may have an English related degree, will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role. This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme. This post is to start as soon as possible

Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)
Pay Point 21 – 24 - Actual Salary - £23,124- £24,873 per annum
36 hours per week, term time, plus 2 days
Required for September, a Teaching Assistant required to join our professional and dedicated Curriculum Support team. You must be caring, calm and positive with a commitment to inclusion. Duties will include delivering intervention programmes, supporting SEN students in class and at other times. Also, there will be a need to contribute to term reviews and contribute to planning meetings within the department. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will have a qualification or interest in the area of Special Educational Needs.
