Ashmole Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a high performing and heavily oversubscribed local comprehensive school in North London, situated near Southgate Underground Station.  The school prides itself on maintaining a high level of mutual respect between students and all staff, and continues to support other schools as a Behaviour Hub lead school. HLTA/Cover Supervisor Science

Full time 36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

pay point 26-29 

Actual salary - £28,226 - £30,688pa

We are looking to appoint an HLTA/Cover Supervisor to join our diverse and dynamic Science department who is passionate about working with young people and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

The Science Department at Ashmole Academy has a well-established collaborative team, who are committed to fostering a curiosity in our students for science in the world around us. Our science curriculum encourages students to think like scientists whilst developing their knowledge and skills as we seek to inspire the next generation of science specialists. In 2024, at GCSE more than two thirds of our separate science students achieved at least a Grade 8, and approximately 30% achieved a Grade 9.

The successful candidate may have a Science related degree or background; will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role. This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.

HLTA/Cover Supervisor Performing Arts  

Full time 36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

pay point 26-29 – actual salary

£28,226 - £30,688pa

Required as soon as possible, Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our Performing Arts department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.

Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis. They will also support the Head of Drama in producing our fantastic annual show.  

The Performing Arts Faculty at Ashmole Academy is a dynamic and vibrant place to work. We have a strong cohort of students choosing Performing Arts at both GCSE and A Level and the faculty has its own building with excellent facilities, including a newly refurbished drama studio. At Ashmole we invest in and value Performing Arts with numerous shows and concerts throughout the year as well as a music scholarship programme.

The successful candidate may have a performing arts related degree, will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role.   This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching in the future.
