Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1800 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 480.  Our examination results are consistently high, and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

General Kitchen Assistant

Permanent/Actual Salary  £7,215.

20 hours per week (11:00am – 3:00pm) – 38 working weeks

We are now looking for a General Kitchen Assistant to join the kitchen team.  This position includes:

  • Simple cooking duties.
  • The serving of meals and operating of a touchscreen till.
  • General kitchen and dining room duties e.g. washing-up and the setting up and the clearing away of equipment as well as dining tables and chairs.
  • The cleaning of the kitchen and it’s surround and equipment.
  • To be aware of customer needs.
  • Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager to ensure that food is prepared, cooked and served in a safe manner.
  • Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager to comply with food hygiene legislation and health and safety legislation.

Science Technician

Term time, 39 working weeks.  36 hours per week,  actual salary £17,432pa

Required as soon as possible, a Science Technician to join the team in our busy Science Faculty. Responsibilities will include preparing for practical classes, setting up demonstrations and the maintenance of laboratories, under the direction of the Senior Technician.

HLTA/Cover Supervisor Humanities

Full time 36 hours per week pay point 26-29 – actual salary

£22,710 - £25,013pa

Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our Humanities department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.  Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis.

The successful candidate may have a Humanities  related degree, will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role.   This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.

Senior Learning Mentor

Pay point 26-29   actual salary banding  £22,710 - £25,013pa - 36 hours per week

Required as soon as possible, a Senior Learning Mentor to work with senior staff providing pastoral support for pupils in a key stage and/or in our Individual Learning Room.  Work will include working with pupils who may have behavioural difficulties, helping to improve attendance, close liaison with parents/carers and general help to raise pupil motivation and success at school.  The post will include cover supervision as well as some general clerical and administrative tasks.
