MCAS (MyChildAtSchool) School Portal

We have recently changed the Management Information System that we use at Ashmole Academy.

The system we have chosen is called Bromcom, and it incorporates its own Parent App, My Child At School (MCAS), which will replace the School Gateway App that integrated with our previous system.

THE MCAS App will allow parents and carers to see information about their child’s Attendance and Behaviour and will also be used for communication between the school and parents.

The app offers a range of information about your child including:

  • Attendance
  • Punctuality
  • Reports
  • Achievement
  • Timetable
  • Personal details

Messages can be sent through the app, but there will still be a facility to send SMS messages to parents and carers who do not have the app installed.

We encourage all parents to download and install the app (it’s free) as soon as possible to enhance communication with the school.

The guidance leaflet below shows how to download and install the MCAS App either as an app on your phone or via a web browser. If you have any difficulties installing or using the app please contact the school office by email and we will assist you.

If you have recently changed your email address or mobile telephone number, please let us know so we can update our records. You will only be able to register for the app if the contact details that you enter match the details we hold in our school information system.
