12th December 2014

Christmas Assemblies at St Andrews and Walker School.

Some of our choir members visited two of our local primary schools and delivered a Christmas ‘sing-a-long’ assembly.

Golden Oldies Party.

Our woodwind ensemble, our Year 7 scholars and our Choir entertained the local elderly ladies and gentleman with a selection of Christmas Hits and traditional carols.

GCSE Concert.

This concert gave our GCSE Music candidates a chance to perform and record their pieces in front of an audience for the performance section of their GCSE Music Syllabus

12th March 2015

We were delighted to welcome The Pocket Opera Company as part of the Royal Albert Hall ‘Play On’ concert rehearsals.  Members of our Choir who were going to perform at the Royal Albert Hall were treated to an afternoon workshop based on the opera ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

Comic Relief Concert

This was organised and executed by our Silver Scholars and their mentor, Miss Holmes.  Many of our students performed and we raised a substantial amount of money for a good cause.

Gold Scholars’ Concert.

This gave our Gold Scholars a chance to showcase their talent.  We had the most enjoyable evening listening to them and celebrating all that they had achieved.

‘Matilda’

Our year 10 and 11 students enjoyed the chance to go and experience a West End Musical as part of the musical theatre genre in their GCSE music syllabus.

6th May 2015

Gold Scholars visit to The Royal College of Music.

14 of our Gold Music Scholars enjoyed a tour of the college, sampling rehearsals and a little bit of student life!  They visited the extensive library, and the concert halls.  They also visited the Music Museum for a guided tour and had the opportunity to play some rare ancient instruments.

First Friday of each month

Lunchtime Concerts

We hold these concerts once a month.  They provide an ideal opportunity for students to practice exam pieces, or to play their own compositions, or to simply enjoy the opportunity to perform to their peers.
