Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

Head of PE

TLR 2(3) £6,645

Required for April or September 2019 an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to take responsibility for the management and leadership of PE.   The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote PE within the trust.  

PE is a well-established subject within the school and is delivered across all year groups, it is an examined subject at GCSE and A Level.  The school also offers a rich extra-curricular programme of activities for students to undertake at lunchtimes and after school.   The School has an excellent tradition of success in competitive sport.

Second in Charge, Geography

TLR 2 (1) £2,721pa

Required for September 2019 an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to support the Head of Geography in the management and leadership of the Geography department.   The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote geography within the school.   

Geography is a very popular subject at both GCSE and A Level, and the department has a proven record of success. Results are outstanding with 87% of GCSE candidates achieving grades 9-4 and 71% achieving grades 9-5 in the summer examination series. At A Level, 87% of students achieved A*-C, 68% achieved A*-B and 29% achieved an A* or A in their 2018 Geography examination.

Second in Charge, Biology
 (with responsibility for A Level Biology)

Required for September 2019 an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to support the Head of Biology in the management and leadership of biology within the science faculty by taking responsibility for A Level Biology.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote biology within the school. 

Science is a major strength of the school and the science department has a proven track record of success.  A large proportion of students at GCSE study triple science.  Biology is a popular A level with approximately 100 pupils in the 6th Form studying A level Biology.    The 6th Form has a strong science base with a large proportion of pupils going on to study a science related degree.
