Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

Head of Physics

MPS/UPS

plus TLR 2(3) £6,828pa

Required for April or September 2020 an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to take responsibility for the management and leadership of Physics.   The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote Physics within the school. 

Science is a major strength of the school and the science department has a proven track record of success.  A large proportion of students at GCSE study triple science.  The 6th Form has a strong science base with a large proportion of pupils going on to study a science related degree.

Head of Drama

Required for September 2020 an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to take responsibility for the management and leadership of Drama.   The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote Drama within the school.  

Drama is a well established department, and a major strength of the school, both as part of the curriculum and through the extra-curricular activities on offer. The Drama department has a track record of success at GCSE and A Level alongside running an outstanding annual whole school production and producing high quality practical work throughout the year.

Business and Economics department is a successful subject area within the humanities faculty, delivering Business GCSE, BTEC in Business Level 3, and Economics A Level.  A highly popular option for students at Key Stage 4 & 5 with students achieving outstanding results at all levels.​

Maths is a major strength of the school and the Mathematics department has a proven track record of success at GCSE and A level with record numbers achieving  9-7 grades at GCSE and A*/A grades at A Level. Over 100 students choose Mathematics as one of their A Level subjects.

In Charge, Girls PE

Required for September 2020 an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to support the Head of PE in the management and leadership of Girls PE.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote PE within the school. 

PE is a well-established subject within the school and is delivered across all year groups, it is an examined subject at GCSE and A Level.  The school also offers a rich extra-curricular programme of activities for students to undertake at lunchtimes and after school.   The School has an excellent tradition of success in competitive sport.
