Teacher of Science

We are looking to appoint an experienced Science teacher to join our diverse and dynamic Science Faculty who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists.
The Science Faculty at Ashmole Academy has a well-established collaborative team, who are committed to fostering a curiosity in our students for science in the world around us. Our science curriculum encourages students to think like scientists whilst developing their knowledge and skills as we seek to inspire the next generation of science specialists.
Physics and Chemistry are popular subjects within the Science Faculty and have a proven track record of high academic outcomes at GCSE and A level. Many of our Physics and Chemistry students go on to study at Russell Group universities.
Our Science team constantly contributes towards pedagogical improvements across the school and they strive to offer students an engaging curriculum with high-quality teaching. This is complemented by a strong extra-curricular provision and Scholar’s programme.
In 2024, at GCSE more than two thirds of our separate science students achieved at least a Grade 8, and approximately 30% achieved a Grade 9. Approximately three quarters of our combined science students achieved a grade 5 or above. At A-Level, approximately 50% of students achieved A*-B and 30% achieved A*-A. |
