Ashmole Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600.  Our examination results are consistently high, and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.


Teacher of Psychology and Biology

£37,870 to £56,154 p.a.

Are you a passionate educator with a love for both Psychology and Biology? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Psychology and Biology to inspire and support our students in achieving their academic potential.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Psychology at KS5 and Biology across all key stages, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific understanding. They will support students in developing strong subject knowledge and confidence in both disciplines.

Psychology is one of our most popular A-Level subjects and consistently achieves excellent results. In 2025, 87% of students attained grades A*–C, with 20% achieving A*/A.

Biology is also a highly popular subject within the Science Faculty, consistently achieving strong outcomes at both GCSE and A-Level. At A-Level, 81% of students achieved grades A*–C, including 28% at A*/A. At GCSE, 81% of students achieved the top grades 9–7.

Our Science team is committed to continual pedagogical development and delivering an engaging curriculum, supported by a robust Enrichment and Scholars Programme. The department is well resourced, with 12 laboratories, a modern preparation room and a dedicated team of technicians. Many of our students go on to study science subjects at prestigious Russell Group universities.

Teacher of Drama (Maternity Cover) 

£37,870 to £56,154 p.a. 

Required from September 2026, an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious teacher of Drama (maternity cover) with qualified teacher status to join a successful, creative and dedicated team.  

The Drama Department at Ashmole Academy is very well resourced and is supported by a full-time HLTA in Performing Arts, enabling us to run a vibrant and popular co-curricular timetable. Each year the department puts on a whole school show involving over 130 students. These productions are often former West End musicals and are performed under a newly refurbished lighting rig and sound system. There is a purpose-built drama studio which has also been recently renovated and is used for lessons and co-curricular activities. Drama is offered at both GCSE and A Level and the department achieves wonderful outcomes for our students, with half of GCSE students achieving a score 7 or above last year. Students also enjoy regular theatre trips to enrich their education and encourage creative inspiration.

Design Technology is a successful and vibrant subject area, offering a broad and engaging curriculum across all key stages. The faculty delivers Product Design and Textiles at KS3, KS4 and KS5, alongside Food and Nutrition from KS3 to KS4.
