Ashmole Authors Award

This year, Ashmole Academy decided to run its first ever ‘Ashmole Authors’ competition to encourage budding creative writers in all year groups. The competition was based on the popular BBC 500 Words competition with the only criteria being an original piece of writing of no more than 500 words.

The English department were delighted to receive entries from across Key Stage Three and Four and had a difficult time choosing winners. After careful deliberation however, the Key Stage Three Prize was awarded to Katie Wootten (8M2), with the Key Stage Four award going to Khara Rodriguez-Manu (9N1).

Congratulations Katie and Khara!

We look forward to receiving more fabulous stories next year!
