AS Level Fieldwork
As part of the AS Geography course, students study Geographical Investigations which is a fieldwork and research unit. Within this students study two topics; Extreme Weather and Rebranding. To support their work for the examination, students undergo a field day visit to Stratford to learn about urban rebranding; and in particular focus on the Olympic Park and site. In addition students completed a three day residential field trip visit to Juniper Hall in Dorking. Here they investigated river flooding in Guildford, tested infiltration rates and completed weather diaries as well as looking at rural rebranding of Denbies Vineyard.
