Community links and opportunities

As part of our commitment in enhancing personal development of our students we recognise the importance of them access opportunities and support beyond what the school already proves. Please see below a list of websites and community links who can provide additional support or opportunities for young people.


BACE Holidays

What is BACE Holidays? BACE Holidays is organised and run by Barnet Council and Young Barnet Foundation and fully funded by the Department for Education.

BACE holidays supports children and young people in Reception - Year 11 who receive benefit-related Free School Meals* in the borough of Barnet.cc

Barnet Youth

Provides a range of support links on their advice area including access to food banks, autism resources and support for young carers. https://barnetyouth.uk/Advice--Support

Young Barnet Foundation

Young Barnet Foundation is a membership movement set up to help grow local activities and opportunities for children and young people across the London Borough of Barnet. Enfield's Youth and Family Hubs

Enfield's Youth and Family Hubs provide support for families to help their children grow and succeed. They offer various services for children and families, making it easier to get the right help at the right time.

The hubs support families from pregnancy until the child is 19 years old, or 25 years old for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

At Youth and Family Hubs, you can find a variety of support services to help families and children thrive. These include:

· support with early education, childcare, and child development

· health and wellbeing advice for parents, carers, children, and young people

· parenting programmes and one-to-one family support

· baby groups, Stay and Play sessions, and creative activities for children under 5

· antenatal and postnatal classes, breastfeeding and infant feeding support

· speech and language support and developmental reviews

· information and advice on benefits, housing, and cost-of-living support

· help with employment, education, and training opportunities

· appointments with Citizens Advice

· specialised support for families with children with SEND

· referrals to specialist services, including perinatal mental health

Youth Development Service

The Youth Development Service (YDS) works with young people aged 11 to 19 years (and up to 25 with SEND).

They provide a range of positive activities via our 5 open access youth centres, including:

· multi-media

· health and fitness

· music

· dance

· issues-based workshops

Enfield Youth

The service provides free activities for young people who live or study in Enfield. They have a range of exciting opportunities and positive activities to engage in.

Young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 with a learning difficulty of disability) who live, work or study in Enfield can choose from over 80 FREE courses that will be held all over the borough. https://youthenfield.taptub.co.uk/

Enfield : Holiday activities and food programme

Enfield’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) offers fun and free activities for children and young people during the Easter, summer and winter school holidays. These include sports, creative sessions, and chances to try new things.

Your child can join the HAF programme if all of these apply:

  • They get benefits-related free school meals
  • You live in Enfield or your child goes to school in Enfield
  • They are in reception to year 11

Kelly Family Charity Trust

Grants of up to £5,000 are available. They prioritise funding charities whose activities involve all or most family members where possible, in initiatives that support and encourage the family to work as a cohesive unit in tackling problems that face one or more of its members.

Grants are awarded twice a year. Applications must be submitted by 1st March and 1st September.
