Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,
I am pleased to announce the building of a new Sixth Form Centre. The importance of giving students the ability to study beyond the classroom and extend their learning is not underestimated at Ashmole and we already make clear provision for this within the timetable and resources.
However, with the number joining the Sixth Form having risen 100% since the school moved into its new building nine years ago, reflecting the increasing popularity of Ashmole with both our own students and external applicants, this has led to the Sixth Form rapidly outgrowing their current accommodation. You are already aware of Ashmole’s reputation in London and beyond as one of the top performing comprehensive sixth forms in the country and its exemplary record in enabling students to proceed to the best universities. We feel these achievements should be matched by state of the art modern facilities. The safety of each of the students is paramount; encouraging sixth form students to remain on site, even during times of relaxation, will clearly help us to achieve this.
The plans for the building can be seen in the publication viewable from the link below. The two storey construction, placed at the heart of the school, will contain a cafeteria and relaxation areas on the ground floor with a study centre on the top floor. Wireless, fibre optic technology will allow students quick and easy access to all their study needs with the hardware reflecting the very latest in information technology.
Clearly, such a facility requires a huge financial commitment and there are a number of ways we would invite parents and friends of the school to assist us in the fundraising.
New Sixth Form Centre
Dear Parents, Carers and Friends, I am pleased to announce that the construction of our new Sixth Form Centre is complete. The building was opened on 10th July 2014 by Professor Grayling, Master of the New College of the Humanities, London, and the Mayor of Barnet. Many thanks to all those parents, carers and friends who have donated money to the project. Your generosity will now benefit the study of many future Sixth Formers. Within the Centre there are two walls dedicated to those who have bought a ‘brick’ in our fundraising campaign.
Thank you to all those individuals & businesses who have given a donation towards our new building

How You Can Help
There are various ways you can help such as:
Ashmole Academy would like to commemorate the project by having a personalised permanent display as part of the entrance to the new Sixth Form Centre. This will consist of perspex bricks etched with the names of donors who have purchased a brick. Each brick can have up to 130 characters etched on it including company logos. There are three brick sizes available.

- Single Donation
Donations of all sizes will be welcomed. Please note that we would like to ask where applicable that you Gift Aid the donation to allow us to recover the tax. This will increase the donation amount by 25p for every £1 you give!
For individuals or companies who would like to donate a large sum of money please note:
- £10,000 donation would enable the donor to name the cafeteria, study area or relaxation area
- £50,000 donation would enable the donor to name the whole building
