  • Early Closing & Late Start Information

    Early Closing Information:
    To enable the staff to prepare and then clear up afterwards, the following arrangements will take place.


    Students will be dismissed at the end of Period 4 at 12.25pm. No hot food will be available at lunch time on this day, but sandwiches and snacks will be on sale at break time. Students who normally receive free school meals can collect a sandwich at break time. All students will be asked to leave the school site by 12.40pm. We ask parents & carers to ensure that all students go home safely and are appropriately supervised.

    On the following day, Friday 9th October, school will begin slightly later than usual. Students should arrive from 11:10am and go directly to their Period 4 lesson, where they will be registered at 11.25am.

    Oxbridge Success

    Ashmole Academy runs a highly effective Oxbridge Programme. Successful outcomes have continued this year with a number of students accepting offers for undergraduate study at Oxford and Cambridge: The diversity in degree subjects and A Levels these students have chosen is a testament to their outstanding efforts and the well-rounded education provided by the school.
    Given that the average number of Oxbridge offers per state school in the UK sits at just under 1 and, on average, 79% of state schools do not send any students to Oxbridge, our Programme is proving extremely effective. This year 7 students received offers, including 1 placed in the Summer Pool for Cambridge.
