Ashmole Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward-looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600.  Our examination results are consistently high, and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.


HLTA/Cover Supervisor English  

Full time 36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

pay point 26-29 – actual salary

£28,226 - £30,688pa

English is a strength of the school and the English department has a proven track record of success at GCSE and A level. Our Department, strives to instil a passion for reading and writing in all our students to support their development across all curriculum areas and empower them as individuals through access to cultural capital. Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis. The role of HLTA is an excellent opportunity to inspire and motivate young people throughout their secondary education.

 

The successful candidate may have an English related degree; will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role. This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.

Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our English department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.
