Ashmole Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600.  Our examination results are consistently high, and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

 


Teacher of Religious Studies with responsibility for KS3

£37,870 to £56,154 p.a. plus TLR 2(1) £3,527

Required from September 2026, we are looking to appoint a committed and inspiring Teacher of Religious Studies to join our successful department. This role includes additional responsibility for leading and shaping the KS3 curriculum, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher ready to take the next step in their career.

You will join a strong and successful Religious Studies department within a supportive and forward-thinking Humanities team that places a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and excellence in teaching and learning. The faculty comprises a team of specialist practitioners delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, including History, Geography, and Religious Studies across all key stages; Business Studies at KS4 and 5; and Sociology, Politics, and Economics at KS5. These subjects are consistently popular at Key Stage 3, leading to multiple classes at both GCSE and A Level, and we have a strong record of examination success. In 2025 at GCSE, 16% of Religious Studies students achieved Grade 9, while 63% secured Grades 9–7. At A Level, 44% of students attained A*/A grades.

Head of Food Nutrition

Required from September 2026, we are looking to appoint a Head of Food Nutrition to lead a key strand of our Technology faculty.  The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced teacher who has the necessary leadership qualities to promote the teaching of Food Nutrition throughout the school. The successful candidate will be dynamic and inspiring, with a strong commitment to further developing outstanding teaching and learning at each key stage.

The faculty comprises Food Nutrition taught from KS3 through to KS4, with Product Design and Textiles extending to KS5. The Food department achieves strong results and is a highly popular choice at Key Stage 4. Performance across all subject areas is consistently excellent, with students attaining outstanding results.
