Ashmole Academy is consulting on:

• Ashmole Academy Years 7-11 Admissions with effect from September 2028, to include Osidge Primary School (page 6 of proposed policy)

Osidge Primary School joined Ashmole Trust in September 2024 and is located just over 400 metres from Ashmole Academy. Since joining the Trust, we have worked closely with colleagues at Osidge Primary School to develop a strong collaborative partnership, creating a range of enriching opportunities for pupils and staff alike. These have included debating competitions, literacy initiatives, a Poetry Festival, the Reading Buddies programme led by Ashmole Academy Sixth Form students, and joint Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for staff, all hosted at Ashmole Academy. These initiatives have strengthened links between our schools and supported a seamless educational partnership for the benefit of both pupils and staff. The proposed consultation will be the same as that undertaken last year. Specifically, it will seek approval for an admission criterion that restricts eligibility under this provision to applicants whose home address is within one mile of the Academy.

The Academy will publish its criteria for 2028 in the Spring of 2027.
