Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

Head of Physics

TLR 2(3) £6,515

We are looking to appoint an ‘Outstanding’ and experienced subject leader of Physics to join a very strong and effective Science department.   The successful candidate will have a proven record of success achieving outstanding results. There is also an opportunity, going forward, to be part of the teaching school alliance project.  This post is from September 2018.

Science is a major strength of the school and the science department has a proven track record of success.  A large proportion of students at GCSE study triple science.  Physics is a popular A level with approximately 55 pupils in the 6th Form studying A level Physics.    The 6th Form has a strong science base with a large proportion of pupils going on to study a science related degree.

Teacher of English

Required for September 2018, an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious teacher of English with qualified teacher status to teach all age and ability range to join a successful team.  This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher (NQT).

English is strength of the school and the English department has a proven track record of success at GCSE and A level. In 2017, 31% of pupils achieved a grade 7 or higher for GCSE English Language and 61% achieved A*-B at A Level.

Teacher of Spanish with French

MPS

Required for September 2018, an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious teacher of Spanish with French  with qualified teacher status to teach all age and ability range.  This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher (NQT).

The languages department at Ashmole Academy has ensured excellent pupil progress over all key stages. Our GCSE Language cohort is comprehensive, and significantly larger than other comparable establishments.  The languages department has been instrumental in ensuring a high percentage of students achieve the EBACC.  The languages team at Ashmole has significant expertise at all levels of study, and staff are deployed accordingly. A wide range of ICT is used regularly and effectively to motivate students, and accelerate progress. There are also a number of international trips and exchanges which run throughout a student’s time at the Academy, which offer the opportunity for deeper understanding of the culture in the countries in which languages are studied.

Teacher of Geography

Required for September 2018, an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious teacher of Geography with qualified teacher status to teach all age and ability range to join a successful team.  This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher (NQT).

Geography is a very popular subject at both GCSE and A Level, and the department has a proven record of success. Results are outstanding with 90% of GCSE candidates achieving an A*-C in the summer examination series, with 40% achieving an A or A*.
