Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

Assistant Head Teacher
Mathematics

 

L13-L15 depending on experience.
£56,059-£58,720pa

We are looking to appoint an ‘Outstanding’ and experienced subject leader of Mathematics to join a very strong and effective leadership team.  All members of the leadership team will have a whole school responsibility and a curriculum responsibility.  In this case, the curriculum area is mathematics.  There is also an opportunity, going forward, to be part of the teaching school alliance project.  This post is from September 2018.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with an excellent track record as a subject leader achieving outstanding results.

Mathematics is a major strength of the school and the Mathematics department has a proven track record of success at GCSE and A level with almost 50% achieving at least a grade 7 at GCSE and more than two thirds of students achieve at least a grade B at A Level.  100 students choose Mathematics as one of their A Level subjects

Teacher of Geography

MPS

Required for September 2018, an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious teacher of Geography with qualified teacher status to teach all age and ability range to join a successful team.  This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher (NQT).

Geography is a very popular subject at both GCSE and A Level, and the department has a proven record of success. Results are outstanding with 90% of GCSE candidates achieving an A*-C in the summer examination series, with 40% achieving an A or A*.

Required for September 2018, an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to take responsibility for the management of business studies within the humanities faculty.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success with the ability to motivate, inspire and promote Business Studies within the school.

Business Studies is a successful department delivering Business GCSE, BTEC in Business Level 3 and there may be an opportunity to teach Economics at A Level.  A highly popular option for students at Key Stage 4 & 5 with students achieving outstanding results at all levels.​

Science is a major strength of the school and the science department has a proven track record of success.  A large proportion of students at GCSE study triple science.  Physics is a popular A level with approximately 55 pupils in the 6th Form studying A level Physics.    The 6th Form has a strong science base with a large proportion of pupils going on to study a science related degree.
