Caretaker - £20,314pa - £22,425pa

52 weeks, 30 days holiday

Required as soon as possible a Caretaker to work within a team of 4 caretakers. Responsibilities will include security of the site and buildings, general maintenance of the school and outside area, health and safety and providing support and first aid cover to our lettings customers.

The successful applicant will have a range of skills which could include decorating, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance and must have the ability to provide a high quality of service to our lettings customers.

All caretakers work on a shift rota covering the hours 6:30am–10:30pm weekdays, and a rotational weekend shift for which overtime is paid.

Secondary Chef Manager

Permanent/Actual salary Pay Scale £24,221 - £26,419 pa

40 hours per week (6.30am – 3:00pm) – 40 working weeks

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate Secondary Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team in the secondary school.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day operation of the secondary school kitchen.  Duties will include, cooking, managing and training staff, ordering, stock control, organising functions and ensuring compliance with food safety legislation.  This post will be kitchen based.

The successful candidate will have experience in contract catering, preferably within the education sector, have good knowledge of Health and Safety and at least hold an up to date level 2 Food Safety certificate.  Previous experience of managing and training staff is essential.

Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint  HLTA/Cover Supervisors  who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.  Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis.   These posts are to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will have a qualification or interest in their subject area and will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role.   This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.

Deputy Catering Manager

Pay scale 34 – 37 pa (actual salary £27,332 - £29,329pa)

Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance.  The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.

This is a new post, we are looking to appoint a deputy to support our Contracts and Catering Manager.

The deputy will be responsible for the day to day operation of the catering services in the secondary and primary school.  Duties will include, managing and training staff, stock control, preparing food and ensuring compliance with food safety legislation.  This post will be kitchen based.

The successful candidate will have experience in contract catering, preferably within the education sector, have good knowledge of Health and Safety and at least level 2 Food Safety certificate.  Previous experience of managing and training staff is essential.
