Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

Teaching Assistant – 6th form Centre
term time, 36 hours per week, pay point 21-24
actual salary £18,504 - £20,034pa

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for our 6th form study area.  Duties will include the management and supervision of students within the study area and provide learning support and assistance to 6th form pupils.  Duties will also include 6th form administration.

HLTA/Cover Supervisor

Full time 36 hours per week pay point 26-29 – actual salary
£21,245 - £23,398pa

Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint  HLTA/Cover Supervisors  who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.  Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis.   These posts are to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will have a qualification or interest in  their subject area and will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role.   This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.

We may consider this post as a 1 year work experience foundation for a candidate who meets the eligibility requirement for teacher training.

General Kitchen Assistant

Permanent/Actual Salary £14,191pa

40 hours per week (6:30am – 3:00pm) – 40 working weeks
 

Ashmole Academy Trust is a dynamic and expanding group of schools, which includes one of the most successful secondary schools in the country and a new free school primary opened September 2016.

We are now looking for a General Kitchen Assistant to join the kitchen team.  This position includes:

  • Simple cooking duties.
  • The serving of meals and operating of a touchscreen till.
  • General kitchen and dining room duties e.g. washing-up and the setting up and the clearing away of equipment as well as dining tables and chairs.
  • The cleaning of the kitchen and it’s surround and equipment.
  • To be aware of customer needs.
  • Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager to ensure that food is prepared, cooked and served in a safe manner.
  • Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager to comply with food hygiene legislation and health and safety legislation.

Communications and Marketing Co-ordinator   

40 working weeks, 36 hours per week
pay point 21-24  actual salary  £18,779 - £20,332

This is a new post for the Trust, we are looking to appoint a Co-ordinator who will be responsible for the administration and co-ordination of the Trust’s marketing and communications.   The successful candidate will also provide full administrative support to the North London Teaching School Alliance. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and IT skills, attention to detail, be proactive in their approach to work and have a passion for marketing and communications.
