Christ Church College, Oxford has offered a programme of academic enrichment to students in Year 12 from state schools and colleges in the Barnet area. The aim is to broaden students’ academic experience, enabling them to explore beyond the school curriculum, and helping them develop the skills they will be needing both in order to make strong applications to competitive universities like Oxford and later, when attending university. Ashmole Academy has hosted 2 of the 7 sessions.

‘I have found the Oxford Horizons programme extremely useful, as it has given me the opportunity to experience the style of teaching at university. It has also provided me with greater insight into topics outside of my school curriculum and enabled me to form new ideas which will support me in future interviews.’
