Collective Worship

The emphasis at Ashmole Academy for our collective worship is on spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of our students lives and modern society which can help our students develop character.

Spiritual aspects of this education can include reference to Christianity and other religions but more importantly, is the personal reflection which students participate in, which prompts them to consider their responses to a range of issues, allowing them to develop as critical thinkers.

The aim of our year group Assemblies is to highlight and promote important societal issues and events our students should be aware of in order to become active and responsible citizens not only in our community but also in wider society. At the core of these assemblies are our shared Ashmole values and these act to help unify our students as a year group, promoting a collective ethos.
